Alec Fisher, 19, a resident of Chassell, passed away Friday morning November 9, 2018, from injuries received in an automobile accident while driving on icy roads.
He was born Alexander James Fisher on December 1, 1998, in Ann Arbor, MI, a son of Gregg and Sharon (Miller) Fisher. Alec was raised in Portage Township and was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 2016, where he was a member of the HCH district champion Cross Country Team. He enjoyed playing Disc Golf, spending time on the water, volunteering at the Copper Country Humane Society and trying to help the environment. In following family tradition, Alec started his career in the packaging department at Vollwerth Sausage Company. He spent the past few summers working at the Portage Lake Golf Course and was currently working with the Animal Care Facility at Michigan Tech.
