Obituary of Aina Luoma Aina E. Luoma, 93, a resident of Hancock, passed away Thursday morning August 19, 2010, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a resident patient.She was born on May 12, 1917, in Hancock a daughter of the late John and Aliina (Wendell) Luoma. Aina was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1936.Ms. Luoma had worked as a private home health aide for most of her life.Aina was a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock where she had been active with the Ladies Guild of the church, sang in the church choir, and taught Sunday School.Preceding her in death were her parents and her brothers Waino J., William "Bill", Michael E., and Edward D. LuomaSurviving are: Her sister; Martha Hakala of Hancock Her special cousins; the Laru family, Vincent family and Charles Gustafson family.Several other cousins and many friendsFuneral services for Aina will be held 1 pm Monday August 23, 2010, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Licensed Lay Minister Clay Hilman to officiate.
