Obituary of Albert Ozanich Albert E. Ozanich, 84, a former resident of South Range & White Pine, passed away early Thursday morning February 2, 2006, at the Eden's Adult Facility in Mesa, AZ, where he was a resident patient since May of 2005. He was born in South Range, Michigan, on November 26, 1921, a son of Joseph & Mary Ozanich, and had attended the Painesdale High School. He later attended the Henry Ford Trade School, in Dearborn, Michigan, where he became a tool & die operator. He worked for a short time in the Detroit area as a tool & die operator, before he became employed by the White Pine Copper Company. He retired from the White Pine Copper Company as a Saftey Director, working for 32 years there. Bert enrolled in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to the former Harriet I. Bruso of Twin Lakes, on December 7, 1957. The couple made their home in South Range & White Pine. After his retirement, they purchased a home in Mesa, AZ., and spent their winters in Mesa, and summers in South Range. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Antoinette Karna, Mary O'Brien, & Eva Workman & 2 brothers: John & Joseph Ozanich. Surviving are: His wife, Harriet I. Ozanich of Mesa, AZ 1 Sister: Mrs. Irene Sabatini of South Range, MI & numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. At this time there will be no services or visitation. A service will be held in the spring of 2006, at the Woodland Cemetery in Winona. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock is serving the family.
