Obituary of Alfred Bruno Brusorio Hancock Alfred B. "Babe" Brusorio, 80, a resident of Hancock passed away Monday evening July 21, 2008, at the Portage Hospital following a short illness. He was born on April 1, 1928, in Franklin Mine, a son of the late Carlo and Irene (Besozzi) Brusorio. As a child Alfred attended the Franklin School the Pewabic School and graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1946. On March 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to the former Barbara Liimatta. Mr. Brusorio was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the service he worked as a delivery person for the Bancroft Dairy and then for Sears as a service technician until retiring in 1992. Alfred was a member of the Church of Resurrection of Hancock. He enjoyed sports his whole life playing Football, Baseball when he was younger and then coaching his sons little league and Junior Hockey teams. Babe also bowled, and enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death where his parents, his sisters: Amelia Ayoub and Enes Clouthier, and his brothers: Mario and Louis. Surviving are: His wife: Barbara Brusorio of Hancock His children: Debra Manninen of Escanaba Diane (Robert) Stites of Hancock Michael Brusorio of Acworth, Georgia His Grandchildren: David & Matthew Manninen, Angela Stites His Brother: Aldo Brusorio of Franklin Mine. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 29, 2008, at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Rev. Fr. Sebastian Ettolil, MCBS to celebrate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton, where Copper Country Veteran's Association will hold Military rites. Friends may call on Monday July 28, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock.
