Obituary of Allan Hackmann Chassell Allan Hackmann, 74, a resident of Wilson Memorial Drive, Chassell, passed away at his home on Saturday July 17, 2004, following several months of illness. He was born in Hancock, on Dec. 27, 1929, a son of Otto and Fannie (Jolgren) Hackmann. He later lived mostly in Dodgeville, and other areas before moving to Chassell in 1960. Before retiring in January of 1990, he was manager of the Credit Union at M.T.U. He was united in marriage to the former E. Viola Liimatta on Nov. 18, 1952, and she preceded him in death in 1992. Mr. Hackmann had served with the United States Air Force. He was a member of the South Range Apostolic Lutheran Church, and a former member of the American Legion of Chassell, the Masonic Lodge of the Copper Country, the Shriners, and the Copper Country Kiwanis Lodge. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, Marvin. Surviving are: 4 Daughters: Lynn (Fred) Ruelle of Mukwonago, Wisconsin - Debra (Robert) Bartosh of Bismark, North Dakota - Patricia (Greg) LaBeau of Chassell - Pamela (Robert) Hiltunen of Dollar Bay 1 Son: Mark Hackmann of Dollar Bay A Special Friend: Val Machowski of Chassell 12 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Charles Bylkas to officiate at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Chassell. Burial to be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and for 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday. Veteran rites will be conducted by the Copper Country Veterans Association at the cemetery on Wednesday.
