Obituary of Amanda Briggs Lake Linden In loving memory of Amanda Briggs, 21, of Lake Linden, who passed away suddenly Saturday, March 6, 2010, due to injuries received in a snowmobiling accident. Mandy was born on May 26, 1988 in Ontonagon, the daughter of Gary Laitola and Darlene Briggs. She graduated from Lake Linden High School in 2007. She was currently employed as a secretary for LGS. With a smile readily available for all, Mandy would happily help anyone she saw in need. As an outdoor enthusiast, Mandy often went camping, canoeing, and swimming. She also loved to take her dog, Dante, for long walks. In addition to these activities, Mandy would jump at the chance to go for a ride on a snowmobile, four-wheeler, or motorcycle; often with her friends or family. Mandy always enjoyed the time spent with her loved ones. Surviving are her Mother, Darlene Briggs of Lake Linden, her Father, Gary Laitola of Tennessee, her sister, Shannon (Darin) Granroth of Point Mills, Michigan, her brother, Ben (Carmen) Briggs of Blacksburg, Virginia, nephew & nieces, Adam & David Granroth, and Chloe, Marley, and Killian Briggs, aunts, Diana Kenny of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Patricia (Larry) Jennings of White Pine, Michigan, Corrine Taylor (Joe Rodriguez) of Sarasota, Florida, uncle Preston Elsner of Ontonagon, Michigan, special friends Jennifer & Craig Oakes of Lake Linden, her boyfriend Josh Puuri of Hancock, Michigan, along with numerous cousins & friends. Amanda will be sorely missed, by her friends and family and remembered for her sweet compassionate nature.
