Obituary of Andrew Borshaw Bolf Trimountain Andrew Andy B. Bolf, 97, a former resident of Trimountain and the Bluffs Senior Living Community passed away July 25, 2015 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where he had been a resident patient for the past three years. He was born on December 8, 1917, in Greenland, MI, a son of the late Philip and Mary (Jackovich) Bolf. Andy attended the Jeffers School and had resided for most of his life in Trimountain. He had also resided in South Range and at the Bluffs Senior Living Community in Houghton before becoming a resident patient at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility. Mr. Bolf was a veteran having served with the United States Navy during World War II. Andrew was raised in the Catholic faith but more recently attended church services at the Baptist Church. He had worked on the grounds crew of Michigan Technological University, retiring after 22 years of service. He also was a founding member of Rangers Post #6165 VFW of South Range. Preceding himin death were his parents, his sister Lucille Carnauskas, and his brothers Frank, Philip and Matt. Surviving are several cousins. A graveside service for Andy will be held 11 am Tuesday August 11, 2015, at the Veterans Section of the Forest Hill Cemetery with Rangers Post #6165 VFW and Rev. Silas Doctor to officiate.
