Obituary of Ann North MRS FrenchtownAnn M. (Glenn) North, 55, a resident of Frenchtown, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 28, 2014, at home.She was born on January 25, 1959, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of Ronald Bekkala and the late Dorothy (Daavitila) Bekkala. As a child, she moved to Hancock where she graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1977.On March 28, 1981, she was united in marriage to Glenn P. North. The couple has made their home in Frenchtown for the past 20 years.Ann was employed with various positions in the area before beginning her career as a domestic goddess which she enjoyed each day.Ann enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends, traveling, shopping, cooking, baking and knitting. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her mother Dorothy, her sister Tina, her special aunt and uncle Leo and Eleanor along with various aunts, uncles and friends.Surviving are: Her husband: Glenn North of FrenchtownHer daughters: Shelby (Jeff) Moilanen of Hancock Sarah (Paul) Sintkowski of Hancock Her special niece: Samantha (Mike) Heider of PainesdaleHer grandchildren: Camryn, Madison, Max, Morgan, Jackson, Caden & Tucker.Her father: Ronald Bekkala of Waterford, MIHer brother: Jeff (Wendy) Bekkala of Warren, MI Her sisters: Sarah (Jeff) Stevens of Clarkston, MI Mary (Mike) Detloff of Brownstown, MIHer nieces & nephews: Megan, Bret, Taryn, Dayna, Christopher, Lauren, & Chloe.Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.Funeral services for Ann will be held 1 pm Friday May 2, 2014, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock with Rev. D.J. Rasner to officiate.
