Obituary of Antonia "Boobie" Schutz Houghton Antonia A. "Boobie" Schutz, 84, a resident of the Arbor Green apartments, passed away suddenly at her home Tuesday September 30, 2008. She was born on January 4, 1924, in Painesdale, a daughter of the late Matt and Mildred (Thomas) Klarich. Antonia was a graduate of the Painesdale High School with the class of 1941. On November 21, 1942, she was united in marriage to Howard "Smokey" Schutz and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1985. Mrs. Schutz was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton. As a child Antonia loved to skate she also enjoyed spending her time working on crafts, cooking, and gardening. Boobie devoted her life to her family she loved spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, her grandson Todd Raffaelli, her sisters; Eva Haglund, Angeline Aho, and Mary Witting, and her brothers; John Klarich and Albert Klarich. Surviving are: Her children: Janet (Fred) Raffaelli of Houghton Kathy (Gordy) Sellers of L'Anse Cheryl (Chuck) Paoli of Hancock Sandy (Bruce) Maki of Atlantic Mine John Schutz a resident patient of the Houghton County Medical Care Facility Amy (Jay) Olson of Houghton Her grandchildren: Jaime Raffaelli, Gina Jutila, Lori Savoy, Mark Sellers, Deana Paoli-Wuori, Mandy Markham, Lindsay Maki, Stacey Maki, Brandon Schutz, Anthony Schutz, Jaclyn Schutz, Ryan Olson, Shaun Olson. 14 Great Grandchildren: Shayna & Lacey Raffaelli, Bailey & Derrian Raffaelli, Eric, Chad, & Jared Monticello, Kaitlin & Ethan Sellers, CJ Paoli & MacKenzie Wuori, Daityn, Camden, & Kiara Markham Her sisters: Irene Shiroda of South Range Louise Schutz of Houghton Her sister-in-law and best friend Gladys Schutz of Houghton Her sister-in-law: Gloria Wade of Houghton Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday October 4, 2008, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call on Saturday October 4, 2008, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
