Obituary of Arbutus Marie Durocher DodgevilleArbutus (Arby) M. Durocher, 67, a resident of Dodgeville, passed away following a lengthy illness Thursday evening March 30, 2017, at the Omega House in Houghton with her family by her side.She was born on October 27, 1949 in Hancock to the late Charles and Esther (Maki) Naasko. Arbutus was raised in Toivola and South Range and was a graduate of Jeffers High School.On August 27, 1966, she was united in marriage to her soulmate Raymond Durocher, Jr. Together they raised four children in Painesdale, shared their lives with friends and family in Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, and for the past 3 years returned to their roots in the Copper Country. From the young age of 16 she devoted her life to raising her children the best she knew how, becoming more than a mother to them: sister and friend. Arbutus loved angels, poetry, baking, cooking and reading. Her beautiful and contagious smile shared love and compassion with all she met, imprinting a sweet and graceful memory.
