Obituary of Arthur Tepsa Dodgeville Arthur G. "Art" Tepsa, 64, a former resident of Dodgeville, passed away Friday afternoon, May 7, 2004, at Portage Pointe of the Portage Health System, where he had been a resident patient since it opened. Prior to that he had been a resident patient at the former Portage Hospital's Third Floor. He was born on July 29, 1939, a son of the late Alex and Anna (Hendrickson) Tepsa in Houghton. He attended the Houghton Schools and as a teenager moved to Dodgeville where he resided until 1997 when he became a patient at the Portage Health systems long term Care Unit. now called Portage Pointe. Mr. Tepsa had worked for years helping Rueben Aho deliver Dairy with the Copper Country Dairy Route. Art was a member of the Salvation Army of Hancock where he was very devoted. He helped by ushering and being a welcome sargent for many years. He also loved following the Green Bay Packers professional football team. While Art resided at Portage Pointe his love for life and people would show as he became the unofficial greeter with a smile for all who came to visit. Preceding him in death where his parents and 2 brothers: Stanley and Ernest. Surviving are: 2 Sisters: Marcy Schultz of Watersmeet, MI Janet Rantamaki of Houghton 1 Brother: Kenneth (Evelyn) Tepsa of Ironwood 2 Sister-in-laws: Devine Tepsa of Calumet Betty Tepsa of Hancock numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday May 11, 2004,at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Major Wally Winters and Capt. Kenneth Shiels of the Salvation Army to officiate. Interment to be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call on Monday May 10, 2004, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock and from 10 A.M. until time of the services, on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of or other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorials be given to the Portage Pointe Garden.
