Obituary of Arthur Yrjana Hurontown Arthur G. Yrjana, 66, a resident of Hurontown passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 2, 2011, at the Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI. He was born on May 6, 1945, in Trimountain, a son of the late Henry and Anna (Spolarich) Yrjana. Art was raised in Tapiola and attended the John A. Doelle School. He later received his GED along with his granddaughter. Arthur was united in marriage to the former Paulette Nordstrom and for the past 45 years the couple has made their home in Hurontown. Mr. Yrjana had worked as a truck driver/heavy equipment operator for Durocher Logging, the City of Houghton Public Works Department, Nordstrom Logging, and Julio Contracting. He also was a rural route delivery person for the Daily Mining Gazette, delivered meals for Senior Meals, and drove a wheelchair van for B&B Transportation. Art enjoyed spending time with and cooking for his wife and family, working in the garden and woodworking projects. He was active with Little Brothers and sat on the BHK Board. Preceding him in death were his daughter Vicky Hill, parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
