Obituary of Bertha Larson Portage TownshipBertha (Rudy) Larson, 84, a resident of Portage Township passed away early Sunday morning August 9, 2009, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she had been a resident patient for the past 1 and half years.She was born on December 26, 1924, in Kimball, WI, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Rinto) Aho. As a child, she moved with her family to Tri mountain where she attended and graduated from the Painesdale High School with the class of 1943.On June 23, 1945, Bertha was united in marriage to Rudolph Larson and the couple recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. The couple has resided in Liminga, Onnela, Chassell and since 1983 had made their home in Portage Township.Mrs. Larson was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton and the local Farm Bureau.
