Obituary of Bertha Pintar Hurontown Bertha Pintar, 98, a resident of Hurontown, passed away Saturday evening, February 23, 2008, at the Omega House where she had been a patient for the past 2 weeks. Bertha was born June 1, 1909, in Laurium, MI. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Hearn. Bertha has resided in Hurontown for the past 60 years. She was a graduated of the Houghton High School and was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Houghton. On November 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to the late Max P. Pintar. She liked to read, knit, bake, and had a green thumb for gardening. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 3 sisters: Florence Grangood, Pearl Moyle, Arbutus Sibilsky and a brother John Hearn, and one granddaughter Shelly Cutler. Surviving are: 2 daughters: Delores (Wilbert) Rajala & Susan (Ron) Lemke 2 sons: James (Frederica) Taddeucci & Nicholas (Nancy) Taddeucci 13 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren Several nieces, nephews, and cousins As requested no services are scheduled presently and burial will take place later this spring in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorials be given to the Omega House of Houghton.
