Obituary of Brittany Marie Nicholas South Range Brittany M. Nicholas, 19, a resident of South Range passed away Wednesday evening November 27, 2013, at the Marquette General Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born on October 3, 1994, in Hancock, a daughter of Steve and Melissa (Ruhter) Nicholas. Brittany was raised in South Range and graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 2012. She was very active in school being involved with the National Honor Society, Student Senate, she was a past captain of the school's golf team and a former school cheerleader. Britt also helped teach Spanish to the 3rd grade class at the Jeffers School. Currently, Brittany was enrolled at Northern Michigan University and was transferring to Michigan Tech to pursue a degree in Secondary Education. Brittany was employed with the Rogers Cinema at the Copper Country Mall and also Country Lanes in Ishpeming while she attended college. Brittany was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church of South Range, where she loved to sing and play her guitar. She also volunteered with the Local Relay for Life. Her grandfather George Nicholas preceded her in death.
