Obituary of Calvin Harold Brockman Chassell Calvin "Cal" Brockman, 85, a resident of Tapio Rd., Chassell, passed away Friday afternoon November 3, 2006, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 9, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Harold and Dorothy Brockman. Mr. Brockman had resided in Chicago and Calumet City Illinois, for most of his life before moving to the Chassell area in 1986. While living in the Chicago area Calvin had worked in the maintenance department for Marblehead Lime Company. On June 7, 1941, he was united in marriage to the former Arlene Ferry and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1988. Preceding him in death was his wife Arlene, his parents, 1 Sister: Phyllis, a Sister-in-law: Lucille and a brother-in-law: Chuck Surviving are: 1 Daughter: Sunny (Bill) Cole of Klingville Rd., Chassell 2 Grandchildren Monica Cole of Piqua, OH William Cole of Hancock Special Nieces: Karen (Chuck) Shotton of Michigan City, IN Linda Collyard of Michigan City, IN Special Nephew: Joe (Deb) Collyard of Michigan City, IN His loving dog Shadow Numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Cal will be held 4P.M. Wednesday November 8, 2006 in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell with Rev. Elmer Liimatta to officiate. Burial will take place at a later time in the Northland Chapel and Gardens Cemetery of Negaunee. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 P.M. until time of the services at the Memorial Chapel Funreal Home of Chassell.
