Obituary of Catherine Huffmaster Chassell Catherine A. Huffmaster, 43, a resident of Marinette St., Chassell, passed away Sunday August 6, 2006, at the Omega House in Houghton following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on January 15, 1963, in St. Charles, IL, a daughter of Dudley and Elizabeth (Boonstra) McFadden. As a child she moved to Phoenix, AZ, and then to Davis, California, where she graduated from Davis Senior High School. Mrs. Huffmaster also graduated from Soumi College with a degree in nursing. For the past 13 years she has made her home in Chassell. On April 24, 1999, she was united in marriage to Kurt Huffmaster. Catherine had worked locally as an R.N. first at Keweenaw Home Nursing and then at Bay Side Village in L'Anse. Surviving are: Her husband Kurt Huffmaster of Chassell 4 Children: Kevin, Christen, Heather, and Ashley all at home Her mother: Elizabeth McFadden of Phoenix, AZ Her Father: Dudley (Diana) McFadden of Sunnyveil, CA 1 Sister: Christine (Jerry Corman) McFadden of Merced, CA Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Friday August 11, 2006, at St. Anne's Catholic Church of Chassell, with Fr. Larry VanDamme to officiate. Friends may call on Thursday August 10, 2006, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell from 4 to 8 P.M. where a parish prayer service will be held at 8 P.M. and at the Church on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
