Obituary of Catherine Ann Nelson Klingville Catherine A. (Lawrence) Nelson, 49, a resident of S. Klingville Rd., Chassell, passed away Friday evening September 14, 2007, at the Portage Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 25, 1958, in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Edward and Alice (Lehman) Mattison. As a child, she graduated from Roosevelt High School and then attended McHenry Community College. On August 28, 1982 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Nelson. In 1998 they were able to live out a dream by moving to Klingville and built with their own hands their dream home. Catherine's strong will and spirit was a inspiration to all that knew her. She demonstrated exemplary courage, compassion & grace in everything in life she dealt with. She showed in many ways (All you need is love), & in turn, she was loved by all. Preceding her in death were her brother Kevin, this past September and her maternal grandmother Eleanore Surviving are: Her husband: Lawrence Nelson of Chassell Her parents: Edward and Alice Mattison of Bensenville, IL Her Brother: Timothy Mattison of Lisle, IL Her nieces, Samantha (Gus), Erin, Madeleine, & Kayla Her nephews: Nicholas, Kasey, & Ryan Her Great Nephew: David & numerous cousins A prayer service for Catherine will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday September 18, 2007, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Fr. Larry VanDamme to officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday September 18, 2007, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock from 5 pm. until time of services.
