Obituary of Cathy Tuohimaa Hancock Cathy L. Tuohimaa, 58, a resident of Hancock passed away Thursday July 12, 2012, at the Portage Hospital surrounded by her family, following a short illness.She was born November 4, 1953, in Hancock, a daughter of Marie (Romppainen) Tuohimaa and the late Robert Tuohimaa. She was raised in the Coles Creek area and graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 1971.Cathy resided in the Houghton area for most of her life and more recently at the Lake View Manor in Hancock.Ms. Tuohimaa had been employed at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock in the Food Service Department and then the Housekeeping Department.Cathy had attended the Living Waters Fellowship and loved spending time with her family, telling jokes, painting, fishing, cooking, camping, listening to music and singing songs.Surviving are: Her daughter: Sherri (William Thompson) Tuohimaa of Hancock Her granddaughter: Nakeyah of Hancock Her mother: Marie Tuohimaa of Houghton Her brothers: Clyde (Joanne Koltermann) Tuohimaa of Linwood, WADan Tuohimaa of the Houghton Canal DistrictHer sisters: Jane Lake of LimingaJulie (David) Laban of OskarDianne Huhta of the Houghton Canal DistrictHer brother-in-law: Charles Huhta of the Houghton Canal District She was the beloved aunt that loved spending time with and teaching lifes lessons to: Sarah, Michelle, Adam, Hannah, Caleb, Pamela, Holly, Rebecca, Hayley, Chloe, Micah, Evan, Kelsey and Emma.Numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Her husband: Delbert Hamilton a resident patient at the D.J.
