Obituary of Charlene Supina North Grosse Pointe Charlene A. (Richard) Supina, 63, a resident of North Grosse Pointe Shores, passed away early Saturday morning July 7 2012, at Portage Health, following a lengthy illness.She was born on Henry Ford's birthday at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Freeman) Bain. Charlene was raised in Waterford, MI, and graduated from Waterford-Kettering High School with the class of 1966.Charlene had worked various jobs in the Detroit area and while working for Johnson & Anderson Inc., she met her future husband Richard Supina. The couple where united in marriage in August of 1973. Since that time they have resided in Houghton, Hancock and for the past 4 years made their home in North Grosse Pointe Shores.Mrs. Supina was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Hancock. Locally, she was employed with several Law Firms and was a Court Reporter until her illness would not allow her to work longer. Charlene enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting, antiquing, traveling and spending time with friends.Surviving are: Her husband: Richard Supina of North Grosse Pointe ShoresHer daughters: Cathy (German) Cordova of Worth, ILJill Supina of Madison, WIHer grandchildren: Aaron, Naomi, Sophie, & MarioHer brother: Reid (Michelle) Bain of Dade City, FLNumerous nieces, nephews, and cousinsA Mass of Christian Burial for Charlene will be held 11 am Tuesday July 10, 2012, at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Fr. Brian Gerber to celebrate.
