Charlissa "Lisa" Shelp-Janeski, 63, a resident patient of Our Lady of Mercy Health and Rehab in Hubbell and a former Hancock resident, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025.
She was born on May 22, 1962, in Hutchinson, KS, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (Cox) Shelp. Lisa was raised in Independence, MO, where she resided until moving to the Copper Country in 2005.
While residing in Independence, Lisa was active with the Trinity Church. Locally, she enjoyed spending time working on crossword puzzles and word searches and was happy to spend time visiting with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her sisters, Claudia and Debbie.
Surviving are: Her daughters: Ciarra (Tristan) Foltz, Ashley Beyers, & Terisha Janeski; Her grandchildren: Axton, Aria, Jayden, Elie, Chevy and Keyton; Her sister: Gina Shelp
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at a later time in Missouri.
