TapiolaChase Samuel Crisman, 16, a resident of Tapiola, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021.Chase was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on August 27, 2004. In 2008, he was adopted by loving parents Daniel and Shellie (Jarvi) Crisman. Chase was raised in Tapiola and attended Houghton Schools where he had just completed his sophomore year. He was very active in Houghton Athletics playing football, track, and participated on the dive team. In his free time, Chase enjoyed everything outdoors. He loved hiking, hunting, fishing, jumping on the trampoline and skiing in the winter. He also loved going to the trestle and White City to jump and swim with friends. He enjoyed cooking and baking for special occasions. He was employed at McDonalds in Houghton as a cook.Chase was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock where he was recently confirmed in June of 2021. He was very active with the church, running the video and sound system for sermons. He cherished Camp Lahti and his time there with his church buddies. He was adored by all of his church family.
