Christine (Nils) Ruonavaara,74, a resident of Onnela, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at her home following a lengthy illness.

A funeral service for Christine will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock with Ronald Jouppe to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Oskar Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 6 to 8:00 pm at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock and on Wednesday from 10 am until time of services at the church.

A complete obituary for Christine will be released at a later time.
