Christopher Botruff

LAnse, Christopher V. Botruff, 57, a resident of LAnse passed away Wednesday January 29, 2020, at his home from injuries received in a fire. He was born and raised in the Detroit area a son of Elmer Botruff and the late Carol Ann (McPherson) Botruff. Christopher was a graduate of the Lee M. Thurston High School. Mr. Botruff moved to the LAnse area in1989 and worked for the railroad. He had worked with the counting crew at the Ojibewa Casino in Baraga for 16 years he then worked as a maintenance person for the LAnse Laundry Mat before his health problems wouldnt allow him to work any longer. In April 25, 1992, he was united in marriage to the former Lois Jarvi and on May 17, 2016, she preceded him in death. Chris enjoyed woodworking and drawing pictures. Preceding him in death were his wife Lois Bottruff and his mother Carol Botruff and his brothers; Andrew Botruff, Robert Botruff and Bruce Botruff Surviving are: His children: Courtney Botruff of Calumet, MI Ethan Botruff of Ishpeming, MI Alva (David) Roth of LAnse, MI His grandchildren: Karma Roth, Maizy McDonald and Emmeline McDonald His father: Elmer Botruff His sister: Denise (Randy) Kleabir of Flint As requested, no service will take place.
