Obituary of Clara Johnson Twin Lakes Clara (Smokey) Johnson, 74, a resident of Twin Lakes passed away Monday morning November 26, 2007, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 30, 1933, in South Range, a daughter of the late Eidar and Ella (Heikkila) Hirvela. As a child, she attended and graduated from the Jeffers High School. On July 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Earl "Smokey" Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of South Range, was a life member of the Range Snowmobile Club and was a member of the Wyandotte Hills Golf Club. Clara enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, traveling, golfing, and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Julie, an infant sister Joyce, and a brother Marshall. Surviving are: Her husband: Smokey Johnson of Twin Lakes Her children: Cheryl (Tom) Stimac of Trimountain Earl (Wendy) Johnson of Rindge, N.H. Cindy (Steve) Keranen of Neenah, WI Jerry (Reata) Johnson of Marquette Joyce (Brett) Wiegman of Green Bay, WI Peggy (Alan) Harma of South Range 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Her sister: Margaret Maidment of Gladwin, MI Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Clara will be held 4 p.m. Friday November 30, 2007, in the Grace Lutheran Church of South Range, with Licensed Lay Minister Nicholas Hopman to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range. Friends may call on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of the services at Grace Lutheran Church of South Range.
