Obituary of Clifford Donald Palosaari Chassell Clifford D. Palosaari, 79, a resident of N. Entry Rd., Chassell, passed away peacefully at his home on October 28, He was born in Chassell Township on February 20, 1929 son of the late Alex and Sandra Palosaari. He graduated from Chassell School in 1947. He married Evelyn Harkonen on april 3, 1954 in Hancock by the late Rev. Andrew Mickelsen. He was confirmed from the Evangelical Lutheran church of Chassell. Cliff was a farmer all his life with dairy cows, crops of Strawberries and potatoes. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was on the board of the Copper country Dairy and a member of Copper Country Farm Bureau. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and brother Alver and an infant granddaughter Jessica Lynn Holombo. Surviving are his wife Evelyn, sons Gary (Teresa) Steven of Chassell, Mark (Rita) of Laurium, Daniel (Cheryl), Timothy, Lisa (Steven) Holombo, and Peter of Chassell. Daughter-in-law Mary Palosaari of Chassell. Grandchildren Jamie (Steve) Therrian, Craig (Karen) Palosaari,Dima Palosaari, Stefany Palosaari (Anthony Carrick), Jenifer (Matt) Mattila, Amanda Palosaari, Tara (Matt) Anderson, Alicia Palosaari, Clay (Teija) Palosaari, Chase Palosaari, Tina (David) Smothers, Timothy J., Eric, Brett, Zachary & Alia Palosaari, Kent (Amber) Holombo, Rylan Holombo, Shastina (Jim) Blondheim and Drew Holombo. Also seven great grandchildren Matthew, Raili, Jaden, Madisyn, Brok, Megan, and Ella, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services for Clifford will be held 11 am Friday October 31, 2008, In Zion Lutheran Church of Hancock with Rev. Arvo Onermaa, Pastor Gerry Southerton to officiate. Friends may call on Thursday October 30, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral home of Chassell and on Friday October 31, 2008 from 10 am until time of services. Burial will be in the Chassell Cemetery.
