Obituary of Dale Wuorinen ToivolaDale B. Wuorinen, , a resident of Toivola passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning May 16, 2013. He was born on July 16, 1949, in Hancock a son of Leona (Mikkola) Wuorinen and the late Benhart Wuorinen. Dale was a graduate of the Jeffers High School with the class of 1967.Mr. Wuorinen was a veteran having served with the United States Army being stationed in Korea.Dale was a lifelong resident of Toivola. He owned and operated the Toivola Service and Lunch until his retirement. He enjoyed playing with the Oldtimers Hockey League, even going to Finland to play against their Oldtimers Hockey team. Dale was an avid sportsman, loving to fish speckies and hunt birds. He was able to enjoy a few fishing trips to Canada. Dale also loved to share stories and was always willing to if he had an open ear. Following his father's death, Dale moved in to help care for his mother and she helped return the favor with a warm meal and clean clothing. He was always very appreciative and thankful of any help he would receive. Dale dearly loved his children, grandchildren and was so waiting to see them this summer.Preceding him in death were his father, his brother Donny, his sister Carole, his nephew George Schutz and great nephew Cory Schutz.Surviving are: His children: Joe (Rachel) Wuorinen of Englewood, COSara(Shaun Clymer) Wuorinen of Englewood, COHis grandchildren: Christopher and CharlieHis mother: Leona Wuorinen a resident patient at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
