Obituary of Deborah Ovist South RangeDeborah A. (Timothy) Ovist, 51, a resident South Range passed Friday July 22, 2011, at her daughter's home in Ishpeming, following a lengthy illness.She was born on August 8, 1959, in Hancock, MI, a daughter of Carl Olson and the late Ethel (Hukki) Olson. Deb was raised in Painesdale and graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 1977.On December 7, 1979, she was united in marriage to Michael Robert Dowd they resided in Calumet. They parted as friends after 10 years of marriage.In 1989 she graduated of the nursing program from Soumi College (now Finlandia University). Deb moved to Marquette and was employed with Bell Memorial Hospital.On June 25, 1993, she was united in marriage to Timothy Ovist. The couple moved to make their home in South Range since 1994.Mrs. Ovist had been employed with Portage Hospital since 1994.Deborah was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Atlantic Mine.
