Obituary of Dennis Cleary Dollar Bay Dennis P. Cleary, 51, a resident of Cedar Ave., Dollar Bay, suddenly passed away Wednesday morning August 9, 2006, following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Cleary was born on February 25, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, a son of Paul and Mildred (Kemme) Cleary. Dennis was a graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati with the Class of 1973. Following high school Mr. Cleary enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he served for 20 years, retiring in 1993. Since 1992 Dennis has made his home in Dollar Bay. On October 17, 1992, he was united in marriage to the former Kathleen Anderson. Dennis was a member of Church of the Resurrection of Hancock. He was very active with the Alfred Erickson Post #186, American Legion Post of Hancock presently serving as In rental Officer. Dennis was a member of the Patriot Guard, A.B.A.T.E. regional Motorcycle group, presently he was also serving as president of Chapter 2 of the Forgotten Eagles Veterans motorcycle club where he helped troubled veterans receive the assistance they needed. For 10 years he served as president of the Copper Country Pool League. Dennis was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Surviving are: His Wife: Kathleen Cleary of Dollar Bay 1 Daughter: Kylie Cleary of Dollar Bay 1 Son: Greg Cleary of Dollar Bay 1 Step-Son: Dustin Peterson of Dollar Bay His Parents: Paul & Mildred Cleary of Harrison, OH 1 Sister: Pat (Harold) Scharf of Sunman, ID 2 Nephews: Jeff (Denise) Scharf of Harrison, IN Scott Scharf of Cincinnati, OH Several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 14, 2006, at 11 A.M. in the Church of the Resurrection of Hancock with Fr. Sebastian Abrams to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. Friends may call Sunday August 13, 2006, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock from 4 to 8 P.M. where a parish prayer service will be held at 7 P.M. and Alfred Erickson Post #186 American Legion of Hancock will hold Military rites at 6 P.M.
