Diane Marie Franz, age 76, of Billings, Montana, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023.

She was born on September 3, 1947, in Hancock, Michigan, to the late Kenneth and Eva (nee Stimac) Richards. Diane was a loving wife to Lance Franz (Red Lodge) and mother to Natasha (Chicago, IL) and Gregory (Westminster, CO). She is also survived by her brother, Thomas, and Tae Im, of South Range, MI.

Diane attended Jeffers High School before dedicating her life to being a homemaker. She took great joy in caring for her family and creating a loving and nurturing home for them.

In her free time, Diane enjoyed cheering for Detroit sports teams, particularly the Red Wings and Lions. She loved camping, sitting around campfires, and taking trips to Leavenworth, WA, as well as attending Oktoberfest celebrations with her friends. Diane cherished her annual summer trips to Michigan & Upper Peninsula. She had a deep affection for animals, both domestic and wild. Diane also found pleasure in watching old-time Westerns, Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Soap Operas.

A prayer service for Diane will be held 11 am on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service - Mountain View Chapel in South Range, Michigan with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), a local humane society/animal shelter, or an animal rescue of your choice.  For those who cannot attend Diane's service in person can view the live stream on the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home Facebook Page.
