Obituary of Donald Mentink Liminga Donald Paul Mentink, Jr. 37, a resident of E.B. Holman Rd., Liminga, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday morning, September 27, 2004. He was born on Feb. 4, 1967 in Hancock, a son of Donald and Shirley (Destrampe) Mentink Sr., and lived for most of his lifetime in the Houghton area. For the past 7 years he has made his home in the Liminga District. He had attended the Houghton schools. Mr. Mentink had been employed in the construction field. On Oct. 26, 1991, he was united in marriage to the former Tracy Mattson. He was a member of the Laborers Union #1329 Don loved : Hunting, Snowmobiling, and 4-Wheeling. Surviving are: his wife, Tracy his mother; Mrs. Shirley (John) Aho of Chassell his father: Donald (Ann) Mentink Sr. of Lake Linden 1 Sister: Denise (Duane) Sakari of Houghton 2 Brothers: Darin Mentink of South Haven, MI Nathan Mentink of Houghton A Special Friend: Edwin "Buddy" Ekdahl of Hancock 4 Nieces: Nicole & Laura Sakari Samantha Mattson Tina Mattson numerous Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock, with Rev. Tom Anderson to officiate. Burial to be in the Liminga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4 to 8 P.M.
