Donna Mae Honkavaara, a resident of the Atlantic House in Hancock passed away peacefully Thursday March 21, 2024, at UP Health Systems - Portage Hospital.

Donna was born in Hancock, MI, to the late Walfred and Vieno (Ylitalo) Honkavaara on April 18, 1963.

Donna enjoyed the simple things of life her stuffed animals, music, car rides, ice cream and pancakes (yum yum). We will cherish your love in our hearts forever.

Preceding Donna in death were her parents and one infant sister.

Surviving are: four sisters: Jean & Don Fraki of Toivola, Faye & Alden Hirvi of Toivola, Linda & Ron Sandstrom of Marquette and Leona Allvord of Houston, TX; three brothers: John of Toivola, Marvin of Toivola, and David & Renee of Goetville, MI; her aunt and uncle Roy and Karin Ylitalo of Rockford, IL; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held later this year with burial in the Toivola Cemetery.

Donna's family wishes to express deep gratitude in all the care given to Her over the years.
