Dorothy Kuru (Seppala)

Obituary of Dorothy Marie Kuru Atlantic Mine Dorothy Kuru, 86, a former resident of the Rauhala Rd., Atlantic Mine passed away Friday evening October 31, 2014, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she had been a resident patient for the past seven years. She was born on July 20, 1928, in Painesdale, a daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Zorich) Seppala. She was raised in Dodgeville and Boston Location. In 1946, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Kuru. The couple resided in Boston Location and in 1958 moved to Atlantic Mine. In 2003 Kenneth preceded Dorothy in death. Dorothy enjoyed caring for her family and friends, cooking, baking and visiting. Preceding her in death were her husband, her sons, Richard and David; her granddaughter Tammy Trezona, her parents and infant brother Robert. Surviving are: Her children: Douglas (Janet) Kuru of Lake Linden Barbara (John) Snobel of Bagley, MN Glenda Julio of South Range James Kuru of the Atlantic Mine Darline Kuru of Baltic 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren Her brother: Wallace (Libby) Seppala of Maryland Her daughter-in-law: Donna Kuru of Hancock Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A private graveside service for Dorothy will be held in the Liminga Cemetery at a later date.
