Dorothy Ranta (Bradshaw)

Obituary of Dorothy Marie Ranta Houghton Canal Dorothy M. Ranta, 87, a resident of the Houghton Canal passed away Sunday morning April 22, 2018, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. Dorothy was born on April 11, 1931, to Charles and Marie (Ruohonen) Bradshaw. On August 28, 1948, she married Arvid H. Ranta. Arvid predeceased her on April 21, 1983. An infant son, Michael, also predeceased her on August 6, 1949. She is survived by one daughter Mary Moilanen of Hubbell, sons, Gordon (Renee) Ranta of Calumet and Ricky (Leslie Tepkasetkul) Ranta of Hancock; brother James Bradshaw of Oskar; grandchildren Jon Jr (Cheryl) Herlevich, Dawn (Chris Asiala) Herlevich, Courtney Ranta, Mandy Ranta, and Jessica (Jesse) Durkee; great-grandchildren: Paige, Riley, Eliot Herlevich, Kaili Ranta and Finnley Durkee.
