Obituary of Edna Moilanen Hubbell Edna I. Moilanen, 86, a resident of Ontonagon Street, Hubbell, passed away Monday evening, June 28, 2004, at the Iron County General Hospital in Iron River, Michigan, where she had been a patient for the past month. Prior to that she had been a resident patient at Crystal Manor Nursing Home in Crystal Falls, MI., for several years. The former Edna E. Corbeil was born in Hubbell on Feb. 12, 1918, a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Corbeil, and resided during her youth there. She later lived in Hancock for many years, Dollar Bay, and in 1986 returned to make her home in Hubbell. Her late husband, Reino Moilanen, preceded her in death several years ago. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Hubbell. Also preceding her in death were her parents, sisters, and brothers, and a grandson; Glenn Morris, and a daughter, Margaret. Surviving are: 2 Daughters: Loretta (Norman) Haapapuro of Peshtigo, Wisconsin Doris Taggart of Hancock 2 Sons: Raymond Moilanen of Apachie Junction, Arizona Patrick Moilanen of White Pine 12 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister: Mrs. Margaret Harry a resident patient at Houghton Co. Medical Care Facility in Hancock Several nieces, nephews, & cousins Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 1:30 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock, with Father Francis Dobrzenski of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hubbell to officiate.
