Obituary of Elizabeth Gertrude Tapani Klingville Elizabeth "Betty" (Allen) Tapani, 77, a resident of Virenius Rd., Klingville, passed away at her home early Saturday morning November 25, 2006. She was born on January 26, 1929, in Chassell a daughter of the late Gottfried and Martha (Hoffman) Rothenberger. As a child she attended the Snake River and Chassell Schools. On June 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to Allen Tapani. Together they owned and operated Tapani Strawberry Farm. Mrs. Tapani was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell. Betty loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and cook. Preceding her in death were a daughter & son-in-law: Susan and Glen Walitalo, her parents and 13 brothers & sisters. Surviving are: Her husband: Allen Tapani of Klingville 6 Children: John (Beverly) Tapani of Klingville Gary (Merrie) Tapani of Florence, WI Ruthann (Edward) Lindgren of Chassell Ron (Roberta) Tapani of Klingville Dave (Pam Kobus) Tapani of Klingville Michele (Dave) Lane of L'Anse 23 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister: Gertrude (Gus) Marinelli of Hancock 2 Brothers: Gottfried Rothenberger of Klingville Otto Rothenberger of Hancock Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday November 28, 2006, in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell with Rev. Ted Koehl to officiate. Burial will be in the Chassell Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday November 27, 2006, from 5-8:00 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell and on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of services at the church.
