Obituary of Elsie Cole Dollar BayElsie E. (Red) Cole 93, a resident of Dollar Bay, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning January 2, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Noah Robinson. Together, they owned and operated Robinson's Nursery outside of Houghton. Elsie loved gardening and raising gladiolus, which was one of her favorite flowers. She and Noah planted several thousand bulbs by hand annually.She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Jane Brogdon, one brother Lee Brogdon and twin sisters Emma Smith and Myrtle Jane Peterman, and several nieces and nephews.Elsie is survived by:Her husband LeRoy "Red" Cole of Dollar BayHer step-sons: Jeffery Cole of Laurium Steven Cole of Lansing, MI Her step-granddaughter: Kimberly Cole of Tampa, FLHer step-grandson: James Cole of LauriumElsie was a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church of Dollar Bay. A memorial service for Elsie will be held 5 pm Sunday January 6, 2013, at Bethany Baptist Church of Dollar Bay with Pastor Brian Knight to officiate, followed by a meal at Bethany Baptist Church of Dollar Bay.
