Obituary of Elsie Norlin Dollar Bay Elsie R. Norlin, 83, a former resident of Hellman Ave., Dollar Bay, passed away July 19, 2005, following a lengthy illness at the Houghton County Medical care facility in Hancock where she had been a resident since this past April. She was born August 11, 1921, in Fadeville, Texas, a daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Shimek) Kocurek. As a child Elsie resided in Texas in 1955 moved to Hancock, and since 1965 has made her home in Dollar Bay. On October 23, 1965 she was united in marriage to Chester Norlin and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1990. Elsie was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Dollar Bay and Bay Post # 6028 V.F.W. Auxiliary of Dollar Bay. Also preceding her in death were: 1 Sister; Lucille, and 3 brothers: Milton, LeRoy, & Leon. Surviving are: 1 Brother: Lester Kocurek of Garwood, TX A special nephew: Mike Foley of Kingsford A special niece: Billie Schupp of Richmond, TX A special Friend: Sharon Collette of Dollar Bay A very Special friend: Chad Collette of Dollar Bay Several other nieces, Nephews, and Cousins Funeral services for Elsie will be 11 A.M. Friday July 22, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Sydney Morris to officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
