Obituary of Esther Ruth Klee Houghton Esther R. Klee, 86, a resident of Calverley Ave. Houghton, passed away Wednesday evening March 15, 2006, at the Margaret S. Parmly Residence Nursing Facility in Chisago City, MN where she had been a resident patient for the past 3 weeks. Esther was born on May 14, 1919, in Pilgrim Location, a daughter of the late Matt and Ida (Tikkila)Laitinen. As a child she attended and graduated from the Houghton High School. She was united in marriage to Wesley Klee and he preceded her in death in 1986. Together they owned and operated Klee's Standard Service in West Houghton for over 25 years. Surviving are: 2 Sons; David (Ann) Klee of Ocala, FL and Dale Klee of Wyoming, MN 3 Grandchildren; Ellie (Vince) VanOostenbrugge, Terry Klee, and Weston Klee 1 Great Grandchild; Kerstin VanOostenbrugge 1 Sister; Edna Elsila of the Detroit area Numerous nieces and nephews Funeral services for Esther will be held at 1 P.M. this Monday, March 20, 2006, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday form 11 a.m. until time of services.
