Esther Zito

Obituary of Esther Zito Chassell Esther G. Zito, 86, a resident of Chassell passed away Monday evening April 18, 2011, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she had been a resident patient. She was born on December 28, 1924, in Demmon Location, a daughter of the late Frank and Hilma (Kannianen) Stone. Esther was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1942. Following school, Esther moved to the Chicago area and worked for DuPont during the war years. Post-war she met James P. Zito. The couple were united in marriage in June of 1949 by Dr Preston Bradley. They resided in the Chicago area until moving to Chassell in 1986 for retirement. Esther was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell. Preceding her in death were, her husband, her son James A. Zito, her parents, her brothers Toivo and Bill and her sisters Alice Gaard and Sally Benson. Surviving are: Her son: Thomas (Catherine) Zito of Franklin Park, IL Her grandchildren: Paula (Matt) Baysinger, Jonathon Zito, Janet Zito & Michael Zito Her brother: Tauno Stone of Chassell Several nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Esther will be held 11 am Tuesday April 26, 2011, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell with Rev. Ron Strobel to officiate. Burial will be in the Chassell Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday April 25, 2011, from 4 to 7 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell and on Tuesday from 10 am until time of services at the church.
