Obituary of Eva Fredd Hancock Eva E. Fredd, 92, a resident of Hancock, passed away Saturday September 4, 2010, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a patient for the past month. She was born on July 3, 1918, in Hancock, a daughter of the late Oscar and Esther (Juntunen) Fredd. Eva graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1936. Following high school she moved to the Detroit area where she resided for several years and graduated from Harper Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. Ms. Fredd returned to Hancock and was employed as a registered Nurse at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility until her retirement in 1986. Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Paul Fredd and her niece Barbara Pardini. Surviving are: Her sister: Marie Kotila of Houghton Her niece: Susan (Jeff) Coburn of Gaylord Her nephew: Paul Kotila of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire Her grand nephew: Joseph (Pam) Pardini of Green Bay Her special cousin: Brian (Jackie) Bell of Soldotna, Alaska Several other cousins and special friends Funeral services for Eva will be held 11:00 am Friday September 10, 2010, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Jimalee Jones to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.
