Obituary of Evelyn Dover Houghton Evelyn Florence Dover, 87, a resident of The Bluffs since September, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 26. She was born on March 25, 1919, daughter of Nels and Florence (Brodth) Rylander, of Skanee. There she was a member of the last high school class to graduate from the Skanee schools. On August 6, 1939, she was married to Charles E. Dover of Hancock in the Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee. She resided in Hancock until her move to The Bluffs. She attended the Christian Science Church for 67 years. During her life she enjoyed many activities including homemaking, entertaining friends, cooking, traveling, reading and using her natural musical abilities. She was a capable pianist and organist playing by ear. She sang alto as a former member of the Copper Country Chorale. Evelyn was able to enjoy her life long love of dance each Sunday at the South Range Eagles Her family will always be grateful for her affection, kindness, grace and her love of music and dance. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Sharon Haynes Juntunen (Henry) of Hancock and Naples, FL; Diana Lynn Dover and special friend, Michael Bendavid, of Granada Hills, CA; a granddaughter, Karen Heikkinen (Jesse) and a grandson, Cameron Clogston, of Dodgeville; 3 nieces, a nephew and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 2001. The Memorial Chapel is assisting with arrangements. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at The Bluffs on December 23 at 1PM. Following the services at the Bluffs there be music and dancing to help commemorate Evelyn's life. Memorials may be made to the South Range Eagles or the Christian Science Society of Houghton.
