Galina Grigorieff

Obituary of Galina Grigorieff Houghton Galina I. Grigorieff, 86, a former resident of the Bluffs Senior Living Community passed away Friday November 13, 2009, at the Delaware House of Portage Pointe in Hancock where she had been a resident patient for the past 3 1/2 years. She was born on November 7, 1923, in Harbin, China, the daughter of the late Yakov and Tatiana (Fillmonovna) Guz. As a child, she moved to San Francisco, Ca., and graduated from Star of the Sea High School in San Francisco. In 1943, Galina was united in marriage to Dr. Paul A. Grigorieff. Together the couple moved to Eureka, CA, where Galina had resided until moving to make her home at the Bluffs Senior Living Community in Houghton in 2005. Dr. Grigorieff preceded Galina in death in 1995. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and her son Michael. Daniel) Marshall, Fr. Gregory (Beth) Joyce, Nicholas Grigorieff, Adrienne Grigorieff, & Natalie Grigorieff Her great grandchildren: Maria, Misha, Natasha, James, Alexandra, & Leo As requested, no service for Galina will be held at this time.
