Obituary of Gary Huffman Gary Noel Huffman (70) died on September 1, 2011, due to post-surgical complications after a year long struggle with pancreatic cancer. Gary was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 20, 1940, the second child and only son of Gerald Stanley Huffman and Esther Edith (Buhr) Huffman. He graduated from Royal Oak High School continuing his undergraduate education at Michigan Technological University and graduate education at the University of Dayton. On September 17, 1960, Gary married Kathleen Joyce Kolehmainen and had three sons while working forty years for the government at numerous locations across the country as a contractor, employee, manager, and finally retiring and dying in Golden, Colorado, with his wife of fifty years. Gary is survived by his wife Kathleen Joyce (Kolehmainen) Huffman of Golden, Colorado Sisters: Patricia Huffman and Gerilynn Lich of Indianapolis, Indiana Sons: Gerald Noel Huffman of Ironwood, Michigan, Kurt James Huffman and Kris Jon Huffman of Highlands Ranch, Colorado Grandchildren: Joshua, Rachel, Benjamin, Adena, and Sarah Huffman of Hancock, Michigan Dogs: Princess and Buddy A graveside service for Gary will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Lakeside Cemetery, Hancock, Michigan, with Reverend Arvo Onermaa to officiate and all family and friends are invited to join us. Following the graveside service on Saturday there will be an informal gathering of family and friends at The Hut Inn, US-41, Kearsarge, Michigan, with an opportunity to talk with the family and renew old relationships.
