Geraldine Bickmore (Parsons)

Jamestown, NY/ Quincy Hill, MI Geraldine (Dr. Robert) Bickmore, 88, a resident of Jamestown, New York, and former Quincy Hill, Michigan, resident, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Jamestown, NY. Geraldine was born on August 18, 1931, in Corry, PA, to the late Gerald and Lillian(Colegrove) Parsons. After graduating from Corry High School, she took night school classes, training to be a secretary, work she did until her marriage. In her early 20s she moved to New Orleans and later to Pasadena, California. In 1968 she married the late Dr. Robert Bickmore in Las Vegas. They lived on the beach in Southern California, later moving to San Francisco, and then to Copper Country when Robert became a lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at Michigan Tech. He preceded her in death in February of 2017. After his death she moved to WNY to be near her sister Patricia Ferson and brother John Parsons. Besides her husband and her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her brothers Franklin and John Parsons. Surviving are her sister Patricia Ferson and several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was an avid SPCA supporter, caring for many cats over the years and volunteering at the local SPCA, including supporting their fund raisers. Donations in her honor may be made to the SPCA.
