Gisela Kangas (Kocksch)

Obituary of Gisela Brigitte Kangas Chassell Gisela Brigitte Kangas, better known as Gigi, was born to the late Gunther Kocksch and Irmgard Otto Kocksch in Berlin Germany. After surviving World War II, she married U.S. Air Force Master Sargent Toivo Kangas and the two of them traveled extensively, ultimately making the Copper Country their home. Gigi was a business woman and well-known antique dealer who owned and operated Porch Antiques for 35 years. She was called home on July 21st, 2017. Proceeding her in death were her husband Toivo W. Kangas and her daughter Christine B. Brown. She is survived by her daughter Gwynne Kangas, her 5 grandchildren: Christopher and Justin Brown, Jennipher Sheets, Nikolaus and Niqole Varani, and her 6 great grandchildren: Gabby and JT Sheets, Thomas, Oliver, Everett and Kyla Varani. Services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell on Wednesday July 26th, 2017. Visitation will be at10am, the funeral procession at11am, with interment and lunch to follow.
