Obituary of Gordon Behreandt Hancock Gordon J. Behreandt, 77, a resident of Conrad St., Hancock, passed away Tuesday afternoon April 27, 2004, at the Marquette General Hospital where he had been a patient since this past Saturday. He was born on September 24, 1926, in Park Falls, WI, a son of the late Otto and Emma (Erickson) Behreandt, and spent his youth in the Park Falls area. Gordon has also resided in Lake Linden and for over the past 28 years has made his home in Hancock. Mr. Behreandt was a veteran having served with the United States Army during World War II. Gordon had worked for the C & H Mining Company, the White Pine Mine and the Copper Country Dairy. He was united in marraige to the former Hazel (Couvion) and she preceded him in death. On June 11, 1966, he was untied in marriage to the former Eunice Niemi. Mr. Behreandt was a member of the Catholic faith, he also was a member of the Copper Ingot Post #4624 V.F.W. of Hubbel, the Williams-Giroux Post #90 American Legion of Lake Linden, the 25th Infantry Division Association, and the 27th Infantry Regiment. Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 Grandson, Andy Kalis: and 1 Sister, Isabelle Dessellier. Surviving are: His wife, Eunice of Hancock 3 Daughters: Susan Collier of Phoenix, AZ Linda (Walter) Edwards of Scottsdale, AZ Dawn (Edward) Kalis of Sandusky, OH 8 Grandchildren: Krystal Collier, Shawn Collier, Jason Edwards, Jamie Edwards, Lisa Edwards, Ryan Kalis, Benjiman Kalis, and Nicole Kalis 3 Great Grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Gordon will be held on Monday May 3, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Rev. Jimalee Jones to officiate. Burial to be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. Friends may call at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock on Sunday May 2, 2004, from 6-8:00 P.M. and from 10 A.M. until time of services on Monday at the church. A memorial service will be held by Copper Ingot Post #4624 V.F. W. of Hubbell and Williams-Giroux Post #90 American Legion of Lake Linden at 7:30 P.M. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
