Helen Bastion (Erickson)

Hancock Helen Ingrid Bastion, 77, a resident of Hancock, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She was born on January 15, 1945, in Detroit Michigan, a daughter of the late Andrew and Sylvia (Paso) Erickson. Helen was raised in Livonia and was a graduate of Bentley High School.

On September 8, 1966, she was united in marriage to Robert Bastion. They settled in Raymbaultown, Michigan, where they raised their family.

Most dear to her heart was her christian faith. She cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, teaching them about the Lord Jesus. She greatly enjoyed baking and sharing it with her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her infant sister Norma Jean, and her brothers Elwood and Ronald.

Funeral services for Helen will be held 11 am Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock with Douglas Wuebben to officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery of Ahmeek.

Friends may call on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 1500 N. Elevation St., Hancock, MI 49930, and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services at the church.
