Obituary of Helen Obst Houghton Helen Martha Obst entered eternal rest on January 13, 2018. Helen was born on December 12, 1927, in Laurium, Michigan. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 25 years and at Michigan Tech and retired in 1990. In her life, Helen enjoyed needlework, reading(mostly English gothic mysteries), bowling and church volunteer work. Helen is survived by brother William(Teresa) Obst of Hancock; nephew, Todd; niece, Tanya; and great-nephew Austin Paul; brother Tom(June) Obst of Shoreham, Vermont; nieces, Vickey and Michelle; great-nieces, Kayla, Maria, Serena; and great-nephew, Ryan.Services are at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock on Friday January 19, 2018 at 11 am with visitation from 10-11am.
