Obituary of Henry Stevens Trimountain Henry "Chick" Stevens, 75, of Trimountain, passed away after a long illness on September 11, 2007 at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau, Wisconsin. He was born on February 17, 1932 in Trimountain, Michigan to Henry and Helia Stevens. He married Carole Chaput on November 1, 1952, they were married for 55 years. Chick worked at the UP Power Company for 39 years and had been in business in the Range area for many years with the Cozy Corner Bar and Steven Resort in Twin Lakes. He was an avid Packer fan and loved golfing at Wyandotte Hills in Twin Lakes. He was a veteran of the Korean War and earned a purple heart; was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6165 and of the Disabled Veterans Association, and a former member of the Twin Lakes Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Carole, two sons Rick (Jean) Stevens and Perry (Dana) Stevens; two daughters Deb (Bill) Nietert and Pam (Cory) Sivonen; sisters Marge (Mike) Romps, Betty (Tom) Vukovich and Blanche (Joe) Roth; Grandchildren Rick (Carolyn) Stevens, Jason Kaarto, Jay (Lisa) Stevens, Chad (Nicole)Stevens, Jen (Craig) Burkman, Mandy Hart, Danielle Short and Megan Stevens-Zoltowski; Great grandchildren Chelsie, Chet, Jay, Cierra, Cooper, Brett, Carson and Madisyn; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandsons Garry Short and Brandon Stevens. Funeral service for Chick will be held 7 p.m. Friday September 14, 2007, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Lillian Richards to officiate. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until time of services. Following the services Ranger Post #6165 V.F.W. of South Range will hold military rites. In lieu of flowers of other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorials be given to Painesdale United Methodist Church.
